Essential Parts of a Food Extruder Machine
Mar 18, 2025| For better comprehension of a food extruder machine, the key components and their role in the system have to be considered. The most important components are the feeding unit, the extrusion barrel, the screw(s), the die, and the cutter.
Feeder: The feeder takes in raw materials and ensures a steady and even feed in quantity and volume to the extruder. Its precision is vital for the retention of the product's standardized quality.
Extruder Barrel: The barrel contains the screw(s), and creates the right conditions, temperature, and pressure that are essential for the extrusion process.
Screw(s): These are revolving parts of the barrel that help to convey, mix, and shear the ingredients within the barrel. The shape and arrangement of screw(s) greatly affect the texture and shape of the final product.

| odel | Power | Capacity | Heater | Dimension(mm) | Weight |
| LYS-65 | 5.5kw | 50 kg/h | 1 kw | 1720*870*1050 | 350 kg |
| LYS-70 | 15kw | 150kg/h | 1 kw | 1720*970*1250 | 500 kg |
| LYS-85 | 18.5kw | 200-300kg/h | 2 kw | 1360*1870*850 | 650 kg |
| LYS-95 | 22kw | 400-500kg/h | 2 kw | 2300*1170*1400 | 850 kg |
Die: The die is the component situated at the end of the barrel that defines the shape of the extrudate. This component can be designed according to the needs of the final product by producing different forms and sizes.
Cutter: The cutter cuts the extrudate(s) into required lengths and thus completes this deformation stage.
All the above components are interrelated and very appropriate and applicable to the action of a food extruder, ensuring the continuous manufacture of food products of a particular high standard.
