Temperature Range And Control Method Of Extruder
Sep 20, 2024| The temperature of the extruder directly affects the quality and output of the product. If the temperature is too low, the raw materials are not easy to expand, the output will be reduced, and the quality of the expanded products will also be affected; if the temperature is too high, the raw materials are easy to burn, which not only affects the quality of the product, but also damages the equipment.
Expander temperature control method
Temperature theoretical basis
The temperature of the extruder is generally composed of three parts: the heater, the heat medium and the material itself. Therefore, the temperature control of the extruder needs to pay attention to the following aspects:

| Model | production capacities | Power | weights | sizes |
| 40 | 40-50kg/h | 5.5KW | 310KG | 1300*1200*1100 |
| 50 | 80-100kg/h | 7,5 kW | 330KG | 1350*1100*1200 |
| 60 | 120-150kg/h | 15kW | 360KG | 1350*110*1200 |
| 70 | 180-200kg/h | 18,5 kW | 410KG | 1500*1360*1250 |
| 80 | 200-240kg/h | 22kW | 460KG | 1500*1450*1250 |
| 90 | 400-500kg/h | 30KW | 800KG | 1650*1450*1300 |
| 135 | 500-700kg/h | 55kW | 1200KG | 1800*1550*1500 |
(1) The power and control method of the heater;
(2) The heating speed and flow rate of the heat medium;
(3) The quality and processing speed of the material.
Temperature adjustment method
When the extruder temperature deviates, corresponding adjustments need to be made. The commonly used methods are as follows:
(1) Adjust the power and control mode of the heater to increase the heating speed and flow rate of the heat medium;
(2) Adjust the quality and processing speed of the material to speed up or slow down the movement of the material;
(3) Adjust the air flow to increase or decrease the convection and conduction on the surface and inside of the material.
