Twin Screw Extruders:
Advantages: Twin screw extruders offer a higher quality of mixing, facilitate a better heat and mass exchange process and offer more adequate parameters control. They are more versatile with respect to components used, capable of producing more varied or even more demanding textures.
Applications: Most suitable for preparation of formulations requiring mixing of highly sophisticated and uniform dispersion of additives.

Single Screw Extruders:
Advantages: Single screw extruders are preferred for their simplicity and low cost as basic extrusion tools are adequate for standard ingredient profiles.
Applications: Suitable for simple applications that mix minimal ingredients and emphasize mainly cost.
