Processing Advantages of Twin Screw Extruders:
Higher production flexibility
Unlike single screw extruders, twin screw extruders have the characteristics of being independent of throughput and screw speed, as well as the ability to handle multiple processing functions such as mixing, cooking, cooling, melting, degassing, etc. On the other hand, single screw speed and throughput are interdependent, so tandem single screw extruders with multiple processing functions are limited.
