Colloid mill is a kind of material crushing and processing equipment for fluid or semi-fluid materials. It is very similar to homogenizer, both of which are used for homogenization, grinding and crushing. The structure of colloid mill is simple and maintenance is convenient, so it is widely used in food processing plants, medicine, chemical industry and other industries. Moreover, the working principle of colloid mill is much simpler than that of homogenizer. It is to drive the selection of rotating teeth and fixed teeth through the motor, thereby generating strong shear force, friction force, high-frequency vibration and other physical effects, so that the material is ground and crushed to achieve the desired effect.

First of all, before operating the colloid mill, be sure to install it on a flat table, not tilted, and then put it on the flat table to try to turn the rotor of the colloid mill to see if it is in contact with the stator, to see if it is stuck. In addition, it should be noted that solid materials cannot be put into the colloid mill during grinding, and a certain amount of water must be added for processing, and the machine cannot run idle for more than 15 seconds.
Secondly, the colloid mill is ready, and after power is turned on, check that the direction of rotation of the rotor should be consistent with the direction of the arrow on the base. Although the colloid mill is automated during operation, it must always be watched by an operator and operated in accordance with the regulations. If a motor failure is found, it must be stopped in time. When pouring materials, do not pour in hard objects such as hard stones and iron, otherwise it will damage the equipment. The particle size of the material must also be less than 1mm, and the hardness must not be higher than HV309.

Be sure to rinse the colloid mill clean to avoid material residue, otherwise it will cause the mechanical seal to stick and cause leakage. In addition, the colloid mill should also be maintained regularly. For details, please refer to the instruction manual.
