The extruder head is used to flush high-temperature and high-pressure materials into a low-pressure chamber, and instantly convert moisture into steam, so that the heat generated during the instantaneous expansion of the materials needs to be dissipated through the heat dissipation of the head. Therefore, during the production process, the extruder head will be continuously subjected to high temperature and high pressure. After a certain period of time, the head will become abnormally hot, thus affecting the normal operation of the equipment. In order to ensure the normal operation of the extruder, the head needs to be cooled.

In order to better reduce the temperature of the die head, a cooling device can be installed on the equipment. Generally, the cooling device is mainly water-cooled. By arranging a water cooler at the die head or adding water in the form of a channel to dissipate heat, the temperature of the die head can be effectively reduced to ensure stable and maneuverable operation.
During the operation of the extruder, adjusting the processing speed is also an effective cooling method. By evenly adjusting the processing speed, the temperature of the extruder die head can be made more stable, thereby reducing the occurrence of excessive temperature of the die head.
Another important factor that determines the effect of feed expansion is temperature. Normally, the temperature of the extruder needs to be between 100℃ and 200℃. Too high or too low temperature will affect the expansion effect. In actual production, the temperature can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the feed intake, feed flow and steam pressure of the extruder.
